Thomas Men’s Basketball hosted the #1 NAC Seed University of Maine Farmington on Tuesday, January 31, finishing with a 96-79 loss. First-Year James Thomas Phelan landed his career high in points tonight, ending with 23 points.

How it Happened:
- Thomas kept a good pace with Farmington, but seven minutes in found themselves down by ten, 20-10
- Multiple Terriers worked to minimize that gap, finishing with Jacob Bouchard dropping a three to make it a four point game, 26-22 Farmington
- The Beavers went on a thirteen-point run until Thomas could find the basket, leaving a big gap going into halftime 46-31 Farmington
- The Terriers had their hot moments, but could not get stops while on defense keeping the lead with the Beavers
- One specific hot hand came from Phelan as he got nineteen points during the second half
- Final score ending 96-79 Farmington
Inside the Numbers:
- Along with Phelans career high points, he finished the night with five assists and three steals
- Matthew Hadnot had an impressive night with seven total rebounds, four being on offense
- Hadnot also ended the night with the Terriers second highest points with thirteen
- Thomas went 12 for 13 on the free throw night, one of their best performances of the season
